The Wallace Theater invites the citizens of Hockley County to contribute family artifacts that showcase women’s fashion and personal style throughout the 20th century (1901-2000). This year’s Pop-Up Museum will explore the transformative role of women’s fashion, showcasing the intersection of clothing, culture, and the progress women have achieved in society. From elegant evening gowns to everyday attire, we aim to celebrate the evolution of fashion and the stories behind the garments and accessories that capture the spirit of past generations.
Examples of accepted artifacts include:
Clothing & Accessories: Dresses, hats, gloves, handbags, shoes, aprons, or uniforms from any decade of the 20th century.
These artifacts will be displayed in a curated pop-up museum offering families a unique opportunity to share and celebrate the stories of Hockley County’s women—our mothers, grandmothers, and trailblazers—who expressed themselves through fashion and personal style.
