The restoration of this beloved venue is well underway!
Restoration began in 2001 by George Keeling, he completed the inital clean out of the theatre, with the help of many community members and the early renovations that allowed the Wallace to begin creating experiences for the public to enjoy again from intimate concerts, kids club films, comedy shows and murder mystery dinners in the loft behind the balcony.
To ensure long-term sustainability and make this a community wide project the 501c3 non-profit Levelland Wallace Theater was formed. The Levelland Wallace Theater purchased the building from the Keeling Family in 2016.
With the help of Much care and strategic planning have gone into each project.
Whether large or small, The Wallace is dedicated to providing a transparent view into restoration efforts.
Below, you will find details regarding these projects, and plans for what’s to come. We invite you to both celebrate progress with us and join us as we work toward the vision of The Wallace.

Lobby Revitalization
It is amazing to see what the lobby space looked like at the beginning of the project.
See the transformation of the Wallace Lobby. Look for the original curves in the ceiling. A lot of clean up was needed and significant steelwork was installed in the ceiling to support the loft space on the second floor of the building.
Specific renovations include demo & clean out, new steel beams to reinforce the second floor, updated electrical work, new lighting fixtures, counter, sink & dishwasher for improved events, styrofoam ceiling molding reminiscent of original molding, stained concrete floors, new entrance doors that resemble 1949, new glass panels, and fresh paint to accent art.
Thank you to each of our donors who have played a role in these renovations and to all the individuals, businesses and contractors who have worked on this space including:
